How do you know if your calls or SMS are being monitored?
You may have watched some movies in which someone was on the phone and another group of people, probably the detectives or criminals were listening to the person's conversation. This is called "tapping". The person on the phone has no idea that his calls/SMS are being monitored.
But in this article, I will show you a very easy way to check if your calls/SMS are being monitored by another device.
Follow these steps below:
- Open your phone's phone book app (the one used to make calls)
- Open up the dial pad and dial this code: *#21#
- Press send using your preferred sim.
If your calls or SMS are not being monitored or forwarded, you should see something like this below or something similar:
CALLS: Not Forwarded
SMS: Not Forwarded
Congratulations you have successfully protected your phone from hackers.
If your phone is showing "Forwarded" instead, you should call your service provider immediately and make a complaint.
It is worth mentioning that at the time of this writing, this code only works on android devices.
